Description

Vainly is a minimalist and story-driven platformer that subverts some of the common expectations from games by blending gameplay with the philosophy of Absurdism.

Story

The Blue Protagonist is imprisoned and tortured in a small cell by three characters:

• The Real Pain, the prison's boss who is red and has mustache.

• The Biggest Vain, a giant and mysterious knight who prevents prisoners from escaping.

• The Smallest Stain, a psychopath who enjoys killing others with a shotgun.

But suddenly, the door opens and now the only thing he wants is vengeance.

Help him exit his cell and jump over the obstacles on his way to find and kill everyone who has made him suffer.

Key Features

• A short story-driven game influenced by the works of Albert Camus, specifically The Stranger and The Myth of Sisyphus.

• 3 absurd boss fights that are not exactly "boss fights," because they each get killed in unconventional ways.

• Patrol enemies that sometimes choose to jump off the platforms.
